I don’t really think “not a politician” should be a selling point for a candidate. The job is politician. I want to elect someone who understands that job and is good at it and also is not a dirtbag. We have seen how catastrophic it is to make “not a politician” the priority over “not a dirtbag.”

I started the day really angry with Stevens. Now, I really think there’s something off, something maybe with mental health. Her affect isn’t normal. That doesn’t change the fact that she’s receiving the consequences she earned and deserves. But …. There’s something not right.

I think making the President veto the Puppies and Sunshine Act of 2027 and the Make Your Life Better Act of 2028 would be politically advantageous
I respect Sen. Schatz, but I 100% disagree with him here.

I am sanguine about a lot of Jewish opposition to AES and even Mamdani, in that it's basically the inevitable result of understandable communal politics--the same way I viewed Uncommitted and Arab opposition to Biden--but I really, truly hate these fucking professional philosemites.
There are plenty of Michigan Jews who will vote against El-Sayed for bad and racist reasons. But it's still weird that Haley Stevens, who is not Jewish, keeps appointing herself "voice of the Jews" without our consent. Particularly given that she ended the career of an actual Jewish Rep, Andy Levin.
