The convert is always the one who gets it
I hear Dem operatives going on about how kitchen table issues matter. They do. But why the huge and disproportionate surge in black and Latino turnout? Surely it has to do with assaults on civil rights and immigrants. Democracy may not matter much to Dem operatives; it matters to lots of Dem voters.

We are in a death spiral in healthcare. As people & employers drop health insurance because of the cost, people end up in ER's, with bills they can't pay, which runs up the cost on people that still have insurance, driving up their rates, and then they drop their insurance, and the cycle goes on

Me: ...and I have anti-ICE whistle kits for adults if you want them.

The adult: ...what?

Six-year old: It's a WHISTLE KIT for when ICE is snatching someone off the street so you can let other people know! Duh!

The adult looking at me, crushed that a six year old knows this: I'll have one. Thanks.

lol this op-ed about abolishing business schools has set LinkedIn AFLAME. I think this particular quote hit a nerve:

"Business schools don’t just reflect our economic system— they actively manufacture its priorities and normalize its harms..." Yikes.

This is definitely a sign that the wrong amount of people are studying the humanities.
