The discussion on this is fascinating and yet I’m wondering whether there are estimates on prevalence: how much are people, say on prolific, having an agent do their survey?
So… we just found out that GPT sol can complete a complex online behavioral/cognitive study producing nearly indistinguishable behavior and subjective reports… right as we are about to launch. Is this doomsday for online cognitive testing?

This is hilarious but also Žižek understands what an academic talk should be: talking about things you hate.
Slavoj Žižek has my dream job. I watched him speak in front of a crowd for 45 minutes uninterrupted about whatever he felt like while the host watched helplessly. when he finally finished she said "wise words" and he said "I HATE WISDOM" then started talking again

Psych Science (the journal) is broader than you might think!

Do you do descriptive research?

Or research w/ underrepresented populations or cultural frameworks?

Or research on AI/LLMs for psych?

Or research testing lab findings in the real world?

We have a special issue for that!
Send your best work to Psychological Science! Four special issue calls:

Also worth noting how many of the signatories of the letter defending Cofnas call themselves evolutionary psychologists, including those with gatekeeping roles or large public platforms. Concerning to have the discipline represented by those who, at very best, misunderstand academic freedom

Just spelled "instantaneously" on the first try and was waiting a full minute for the spellchecker to turn red and it never did.

So I then googled whether the word is correct.

I'm smart.

In Star Trek people often complain that replicated food is not as good as naturally produced food, which is weird when replicators are presumably using the same technology as transporters, which can perfectly replicate Spock every time. But is Spock getting less flavoursome over time? In this essay,

Just used this to download my stuff from OSF and worked great. Can recommend!
Here is a clunky but decently functional script to make a local copy of all your private and public OSF projects. You'll have to decide where to keep them. Maybe a flash drive under your mattress? levarilab.com/osf-backup-t...

I keep seeing/hearing people say that there aren't any open-science and meta-research events.

Collecting and curating these the past month has shown me there is a LOT going on, just maybe difficult to keep track.

See screenshots, take your pick.
