Through sleeting snow (winter in Fort Mac) trudged the would-be hero (I was ten) to reach the temple of knowledge (public library). There was he schooled in arts arcane (D&D monochrome blue box edition) by a kindly sage (assistant librarian), who began his training.

Continue to be disappointed in the space that professional games media has made for games made with GenAI. Games like Arc Raiders, Blood of the DawnWalker, Crazy Taxi.
I can’t imagine being one of the few remaining professionals in the field and giving those games ANY attention.

The only real upside to genAI is knowing who it steals from.
If you think an artist's style looks like AI but you can scroll back through their portfolio and see them doing the same work before 2020, congrats, you're not looking at an AI grifter. You're looking at one of the original victims whose entire style AI stole.

generational trauma in native families is very real. addiction haunts a lot of us, that cycle continues. my kookum lost her battle with addiction after many years of being strong. i think of her today and every other native kid who had to grow up within a system that aimed to tear them apart.
