It feels like it's been far too long since I last properly cooked anything- so tonight I made stuffed peppers - I didn't even need the pepper jack that was supposed to go with it, that's how much I liked it.

I didn't know what to expect with this but holy cow this was a real sleeper hit for me, the pacing was tight and it gave me all the info I needed on what exactly firestorm could do in just a page or two. Very unnerving plot that jumps right in!

Charging over 600 for an artist alley booth is outrageous- and a nominally refundable application fee is straight "blow it out your ass" territory. Never EVER let a con do this to you as an artist.
DO NOT APPLY TO OR ATTEND THIS SHOW. I don't care if it's in your backyard. You can bet that every convention runner is watching this and the bad ones are salivating at this idea of $150 application fees, plus jacked up booth rates. If it works for this show, they WILL try it at theirs.

I hope more doujin, small press, and zine events get super active and successful and then the big cons have to look at each other, scratch their heads a little bit, and stop fleecing broke artists/only allowing space for ones that can take the hit.
