Check out this new moon crater.

McGetchin Crater "...formed sometime in April or May of 2024, and is about as wide across as the two football fields placed end-to-end. The asteroid or comet that carved it was roughly the size of a small apartment building."

Comic artist Ulli Lust won Germany's biggest non-fiction prize for her book "Early Man was a Woman," out now in English. "The idea of an egalitarian society which didn’t diminish women is a wonderful realization for many people," she told me in an interview for @science.org. "We need that."

A steady rain on our morning walk. Most of the color changing leaves are hanging on in spite of the high winds and rain.

Be like Grace and my other Border Collies - enjoy every day.

For me that means remembering this even on Monday, when it is harder to get rolling.

On my morning walk the dogs and I saw a few trees down from the Nor'easter winds. One has fallen across the trail in the woods.

We walked during a bit of a lull in the weather, more rain and wind predicted for today and tomorrow.

Bumper sticker with a more light-hearted voting reminder for today. U.S. friends, register/validate registration to be ready to vote Nov 3rd.

Smithsonian record does not date this item, but I suspect it was from 1970's when there was a compulsion to advertise various things that made better lovers.
