my "BC Conservatives Are Not Far-Right" t-shirt is raising a lot of questions already answered by my shirt
Kerry-Lynne Findlay tried to show she can be a moderate Conservative today at the UBCM.

Unfortunately crazy party drama-rama keeps intruding - including revelations the party hired a private eye to examine MLAs and even a journalist.

My file from this crazy #bcpoli day thetyee.ca/Analysis/202...
BC Conservatives Are Not Far-Right, Findlay Says as Party Friction Continues | The Tyee
As a by-election and possible snap election loom, the embattled BC Conservative leader is continuing to face dissent within her own party.

Doesn't matter that "only" 48% voted for him, or that his approval is "only" 30%, or that you're confident Pres Ossoff is gonna throw them all in jail in 2029. All that matters is how the massive country next door keeps talking about ending us. And he has the keys to it right now.
This is the part many Americans -- including the Bezosites at the Washington Post -- don't understand. Canadians don't see this just as a Trump thing. It's that America elected him twice, and the second time with an even bigger mandate.

The problem we're addressing is America, not Trump.
"Out of spite for President Donald Trump, Carney is accelerating the decoupling of a trade bloc that has generated enormous prosperity for North America." Seriously, Wapo editorial - you're going with Canadian spite? www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

TIL Americans think mandate means landslide rather than just “winning power in a democratic election” and are very very mad about it

incredible stuff here. I've noticed that the line 1 trains frequently miss their vinyl floor door markings, so this is the same basic problem. I thought upgraded ATC was supposed to allow trains to stop in the same place every time?
well, this is embarrassing. what are we doing here?

No idea what to make of this race so far. Erhahart is Fletcher's anointed successor with no clear policy differences, not super inspiring. Saxe, this is a silly move to pull and I doubt it works. Fragedakis, really?

Who is the best housing candidate? Most posted platforms don't even mention zoning.
Ward 14: Incumbent Paula Fletcher pulled a prank by dropping out of the race near the deadline to try and clear the field for her preferred successor, Sara Ehrhardt, but it hasn't gone perfectly. Former councillor Mary Fragedakis has jumped in, along with... Dianne Saxe? Another clown show.

it's awesome that Chretien is 92 and still has this much juice. Trump is more than a decade younger and can barely string a coherent sentence together
God he's so good at this role

this makes sense, because Brad has thoughtfully rebranded himself as a Bonservative politician, making him the clear choice for Bonservative voters who are looking to bring some common-sense Bonservative policies back to City Hall
Bradford’s trying out a new “Every Problem in Toronto Starts with ‘C’” message.

It’s clearly a nod to his popular opponent, whose name also starts with “C.”

But because he doesn’t come right out and name her, he ends up looking like he’s trying to pick a fight with Cookie Monster.

Every subsequent U.S. president who tries to do a modicum of good via foreign policy or trade is going to be sitting across from someone thinking yeah sure, okay, but what about the next guy.

Absent political reforms, tribunals and truth and reconciliation, that credibility is gone forever.

Do it, Canada. Do the funni. Export tax of 500%. I want to see gas at $12/gal
