The bookstore in our neighborhood is easily the most popular Third Place in the area and, as best as I can tell, is doing very brisk business. It is packed 12 hours a day, every day.

UPDATE: Balcony solar legislation approved overwhelmingly by the California Assembly. I'm told it will go back to the Senate (where it's already passed unanimously) for a final clearance tomorrow.
California's finally about to pass a plug-in solar bill to help people save money with cheap balcony solar. Yay!

It seems the administration has learned very little about the relationship between the steel industry and its most important consumer.
