Documents released by a watchdog group suggest that despite Trump's promise to fund Freedom 250 events through private donations, taxpayers largely footed the bill.

The budget estimates leave open questions about where tens of millions in private donations ended up.

Newly released documents raise questions about what happened to the corporate and private donations.

Ossoff: "I think Pete Hegseth is frankly a deeply unwell person who seems to relish this kind of brutality all the while he's running a department that is falling into chaos. The guy cannot run the military competently and is spending his time with this kind of obscene medieval spectacle."

Absolutely wild story from the WSJ:

Kimberly Guilfoyle was preparing for her Senate confirmation hearing to become U.S. ambassador to Greece when she asked a Trump donor for $100,000 to pay an American Express bill—in a way that “wouldn’t leave a paper trail”

That’s where they ended up in a photo together, and why Benike quickly recognized Johnson’s image in Finstad’s attack ad. She remembered "very clearly" what he was wearing that day, the BG of their pic, etc.

Here's the real photo vs the fake image in Finstad's ad:

New, from me: Kimberly Guilfoyle was caught soliciting money for government favors. Normally we call that a bribe. If she is corrupt, it is only because she has adapted to Trump's corrupt environment, where everything is for sale. 🧵

They're holding up a major escalation in Iran and a crackdown on abortion until after the midterms to limit political damage.

To the extent that the last two years have been a right-wing smash-and-grab operation, the next two will be worse.

I’ll believe this when I see it. I’m seeing a lot of ”hold your nose“ talk.
One of the other strong possibilities here isn't just Dems adding, it's also MAGA subtracting. It's important to remember that Trump brought out a lot of people who wouldn't vote otherwise. As long as Trump was succeeding, those people often voted in midterms. But now? It's "broken promises."
Something big may be happening: Trump's world-historical misrule may be creating the conditions for the emergence of a coalition similar to the one that ousted Viktor Orban earlier this year: Anti-corruption, anti-authoritarian, pro-democracy.

I made this case here:
