ACTION ALERT 🚨

Right now, the Senate is considering adding language to the transportation reauthorization bill to restrict bike lanes. Tell Congress: funding for bike safety projects MUST continue!

Take action: action.bikeleague.org/page/101946/...
Action alert graphic. A man holds a sign next to a bike lane that says "Everyone deserves safe streets!" Below the image is white text on a black background: "Tell congress: Funding for Bike Safety Projects MUST Continue! bikeleague.org/action-center" Action alert graphic. White text on a black background: "Congress Must Save America's Bike Lanes Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy erased the data that shows bike lanes reduce crashes and don’t cause congestion. Then he asked Congress to defund all bike lanes — and even remove bike lanes from busy roads. Now, Congress may be listening: the Senate is considering adding language to the transportation reauthorization bill that would restrict what kinds of roads could have bike lanes on them at all. We need everyone in Congress to hear us clearly: bike lanes save lives and bicyclists have a right to ride on the roads and get home safely. Tell your elected representatives: vote NO on any transportation reauthorization bill that would restrict the ability of federal funding to be used on bike safety projects. bikeleague.org/action-center"

A yellow haired sun fly! This hover fly made very loud bee-like buzzing sound too! Looks scary for sure with its stripes, perhaps the reason it was so nonchalant and let me take a photo.

A slice of homemade tempeh slice showing garbanzo and rye, steamed and pan-fried to crispy crust with soft center Four slices of tempeh on the cutting board, shows the garbanzo and rye grains bound by the white mycelium of the Rhyzopus oligosporus mold. Shaggy mane mushrooms (coprinus comatus) are still edible when they turn inky. I satay, put them on pizza or if they are too far gone make them into sauce 😋

Dune stinkhorn (phallus hadriani). Happy #FungiFriday!

#fungi #fungifriends #mushrooms #nature
From mycoweb.com: As one would expect with a Latin name of Phallus, this stinkhorn is recognized by a phallic-shaped fruiting body, a slimy olive-grey head seated on a pallid, spongy-textured stipe
