WipEout was released 31 years ago.
Since the game is set in 2052, we're already more than halfway there. 😁
A technical gem, this Psygnosis game made a huge splash on the PS1 (and other platforms). Especially with its electro soundtrack and in-game branding & artworks by The Designers Republic.

Managed to hunt down two photos of the kitbashed model built by Jim Bowers as reference for the original WipEout game, sometime around 1993 or 1994.
You can see the logos on it are harvested from other kits- Toyota and Buick logos, USAF roundels, and more that I'm sure someone else could ID

nero's guide is awesome, and concretely helped me with making a website as somebody who doesn't have the brain for this stuff 👍 if you're an artist of any sort, making a website for yourself is one of those things that hugely pays off the extended effort time and again
please make a website for yourself, even if it’s just a single page, I am BEGGING

The alien writing in ARRIVAL wasn't just squiggles. Artist Martine Bertrand designed a complete language of around a hundred circular logograms, each carrying real meaning, so the heptapods' communication would hold up to scrutiny. Follow us for more behind-the-scenes facts.
