This is the only carving I have done by lighting the pumpkin from the inside, and just whittling away to get the effect/image. I very much hope to do more of these in the future, as I cut back my carve-to-deadline responsibilities and allow myself some more artistic freedom.

I remember getting my vaccines as a kid and thinking “I can’t wait to be a grown up because then I won’t be afraid of needles”.
Turns out grown ups can also be afraid of needles.
It’s nothing to be ashamed of and a very common fear.

I really like how this normalizes too that it's OK to be afraid of getting shots, and still get them.

for fucking REAL. the depth of trauma for those undiagnosed with ADHD is real. not just the way we feel like we're constantly failing (because everyone is telling us we are) but not understanding WHY because we have no context to understand other people aren't struggling with the things we are.
Been avoiding this but it’s Super Important to have access to knowledge & experience w neurodivergence ASAP. A big source of lifetime torture among people with ADHD roots from inability to contextualize & put into words what we are experiencing both within & from how the outside world responds to us
