I haven't posted anything for a while, so here's some new #paleoart for #FossilFriday: Cetiosaurus in a Middle Jurassic landscape. I've had to compose and execute this in just two days, so hopefully it looks OK! (All data for the plant recons comes from @palaeojules.bsky.social.)

really sad to see colleges are still protecting rapists. kudos to the students exposing Cornell's institutional betrayal.

shutting down frat houses won't end rape culture, but it will disorganize a lot of rapists, and i think that's probably worth doing if only to destabilize what is apparently an ecology of organizations that functionally exist to rape women per the whole "purpose of a system is what it does" insight.

My advice as a science illustrator is that if you ever get a chance to draw the Cambrian explosion, you should go all in and spend hours researching every single one of these insane animals. 🦞🐙🦀🦑

The problem with living in Vermont is that every sixth woman you see is a dead ringer for Alison Bechdel to the point that when you see actual photos of Alison Bechdel you go "I wonder who that is. do you think people tell her that she looks like Alison Bechdel."

The Delinquent and the Transfer Student volume 2 is out now! I adore this series, and lettering it was a huge challenge. I'm incredibly proud of the results, and wake to display some comparisons of the Japanese and English lettering. Here are some, with more in the thread below!

This makes me hopeful. This number is aspirational but nowhere near out of reach: a working professional could realistically cash out their 401k and buy off a public official. Owning a senator is more attainable for most Americans than home ownership.

it's strange how few television shows use the mathematically perfect ending, which is of course the heroes doing a big conga line across the screen followed by the bad guys doing a big conga line across the screen. i assume it's an intentional choice by showrunners to keep themselves humble.
