I feel like Threads is the contemporary social media platform that's most like pre-Elon "classic" Twitter, for better or worse. Bluesky is fine and all and I'm glad to be here, but I gotta admit I don't surf it that often. I spend most of my time on Mastodon and Threads nowadays.

Democrats need to get behind the 🇺🇸 US joining the ICC so MAGA criminals can be held accountable even if Trump mass pardons them all. Rendition the lot of them to The Hague.

I'm really enjoying the newest #anime retelling of The Little Mermaid, called "Goodbye, Lara"; it uses 90s retro animation that is very Ghibli-like. The OG story gets a speed run in Ep.1 but then she's reincarnated and thrust into current day Japan , truly fish out of water story. It's so cute!

Long travel day yesterday getting home from Winnipeg, MB (Canada) by way of Calgary (YYC). Caught the WT bus D12 downtown (one of the 2 airport routes) after breakfast; 4 hour layover in YYC and it's a 3.5 hour flight from there to IAH. Had to unpack essentials when I got home, too.

All the savvy con veterans know the hottest spot to be is Ai-Kon Pre-registration. Weekend passholders can meet us at the RBC Convention Centre 2nd floor by the Presentation Theatre, 4-8pm on Thursday July 16th to pick up their pass and beat the chaos of Friday’s opening lines.

AI is a broad metaphor for the Trump 2 Era; it’s stupid, not as good, and requires actual humans to fix what it fucks up and it’s clear it would’ve been better for humans to have done the work from the start.

I sometimes have vivid “travel” dreams that include me or a POV character riding public transit, usually light rail. That makes me happy IRL too.
