Once again I ask activists and allies to watch this documentary. It's on Netflix in the US, find it where you can. It is so well done and shows you what we're fighting for.

The Natalie Harp story is very instructive about the state of the coverage of Trump. Many legitimate questions raised, none answered, and the press more or less just moved on as she is continues to be weirdly ever present at his side.

Plenty of high school girls don't have regular menstrual cycles. (And of course, plenty are happy to swim while they are menstruating.)
Just let kids say when they need a day off for something. Have alternative activities available.
This is straight out of Handmaids Tale.

A high school trying to force girls to disclose the dates and lengths of their menstrual cycle.

Don’t comply? You lose a grade.

There’s absolutely no reason a school needs this information other than to exert control over our bodies.

This is why I hate "just a tool" so so so much.

You can make a calculator without access to every calculation. You can make photoshop without access to all photos.

Someone show me a genai tool that didn't require all of our labour in its production. It's plagiarism software.
Eye popping. Court just unsealed Summary Judgment motions in New York Times v OpenAI / Microsoft.
Easy to see why the AI companies had so many redactions (pink). Their own people wrote the lede for NYT, the "largest theft of labor in human history"... "more and more substitutive..." /1

Last year, nearly 20,000 VPN users mobilized with us to demand safe and private browsing but the threat against VPNs is escalating with the global rise of social media bans & “age verification” bills. Either we win against online censorship bills & VPN bans, or we lose our right to anonymity online.

The secret service isn't reading my account, right?
Trump: "If I'm in an electric boat and I see I'm going down and the water is pouring in, so I know I'm going to be electrocuted, but 5 yards away there are sharks. Do I take the electrocution or do I go swimming with the sharks? I'll take the electrocution."

And all of us better start reading our software terms of service contracts a lot more carefully. God knows what’s going to appear in that crap over the next couple of years.
Everything about genAI is the opposite of consent, man. Like EVERY. SINGLE. PART. OF. IT.

It's all built on the idea that consent is for lesser fools.

I'm disputing President Obama, but go to vote.org -- it's the usual website for checking registration, doesn't sell your data, and has the requirements needed to register to vote.

Have a plan to get to the polls. If you can get the day off, and can drive people to the polls, offer to do so.

And if we don't need to protect their habitat, and if he's killing off wetlands....
Everything terrible they can do, they do
President Donald Trump's administration will no longer treat the unintentional killing of protected wildlife as unlawful, officials confirmed Thursday, in a shift conservationists say could gut the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
