I am thrilled and proud beyond measure to support the amazing workers who create and design the games I and my loved ones have spent a lifetime playing. I implore everybody to sign the petition and signal boost the campaign as far and wide as we can!

I know it’s a rough time to be asking for money, and ignore this if you don’t have the means

But the folks at Nibcard are doing amazing things for gaming against impossible odds.

Having recently attended a 4-hour "AI Essentials for Parents" session at AFT's National Academy for AI Instruction, I can confirm! It began with "how to make informed choices" and ended with a 1-hr tutorial for your child to use ChatGPT/Copilot/Claude as a "study buddy and thought partner". 🤨
There’s no A.I. “literacy”. There is only power, to either rebuild or eradicate commonly shared knowledge production. They haz it. Remains to be seen if we haz some too.

Did you know that you can cover solo games (card, board, RPGs) without (1) making an excuse why it’s okay to play a game solo and (2) playing it off as if it’s just a silly thing because you “have no friends.”

Solo gaming has been, and will continue to be, legitimate.

It’s 2026, y’all.

This is under the radar presumably because no one has gotten on a plane to the U.S. (yet) but a potentially enormous disaster in a region that lacks the resources to handle it

Moral panics are manufactured concerns created to push an agenda, don't hold up under scrutiny, and the fallout always harms more people than will ever be helped.

Stand up for trans people.
stand up for trans people: it is the right thing to do and it just will not hurt you, not now, not in this environment

and maybe folks can start to relearn that trans people are pretty fucking cool, actually

Sen. Susan Collins helped steer millions in federal defense contracts to Navatek, whose CEO illegally funneled thousands of dollars to her campaign.

The FBI sought to launch a probe and was eyeing Collins and other lawmakers.

Then Trump gutted the unit in charge. THREAD 🧵

I just want to express how annoying it is on Etsy to try and find handmade items, especially a shirt that was illustrated or printed by an artist. Many shirts listed as "linocut" in most cases aren't actually hand printed. It's so exhausting and I'm so upset for artists who try and sell on there.

We're going to have a better understanding of the 19th century than of the 21st century. I don't think people are fully appreciating this.
BET Digital has permanently removed all its digital news articles from its website to 'prioritize video content,' I'm told. Years of news articles are now gone forever.

Some writers were able to save their stories; some weren't

Make a AAA game? It'll be micromanaged into something unrecognizable from its original form.
Help release a successful AAA game? You'll be laid off.
Try to Unionize a AAA studio? Here come the firings.
Want to buy a AAA game? You don't actually own it.

The industry as we know it needs to die.

A country actively hostile to science has enabled Drexel to close a 200-year-old museum for “financial reasons”.

I personally refuse to believe they had no choice but to do this. Money always flows in the direction where priorities are set.

This is devastating.
