Vibe coding fans focus on “everyone can make a thing” as a way to break free of tech monopolies.
I’m still waiting for “vibes support” and “vibe maintenance” to enter the picture.

The intellectual laziness of saying vibe coding is just like using a compiler, because they both turn input into lower level code, is astounding.

This news makes the movie a must watch
I'm just coming out of Coyote VS. Acme, and without trying to spoil it I wanna talk about really a interesting detail that a lot of people might miss:

The film draws a tonne of inspiration from Patrick McGoohan's THE PRISONER and references it A LOT

Pavel is clearly in the clutches of Big Meeting with this “talk to people” and “align on stuff” nonsense.
We can all agree that meetings suck.

...

Sorry, but there's more to this post!

Unfortunately, if we don't intentionally design our meetings, we give up our only way to push back against individualizing forces in our workplaces that undermine our agency with shitty, thoughtless automation.
Sense-making is only productive when it is collective
The "optimization" you achieve by automating interfaces between colleagues is always going to be self-defeating.
