Records (from Beatles to beard), guitars, LFC, politics & rank idiocy - useless opinions available, for comment/abuse/blocking. Will demean self for podcasts. #MDANT
Well, the weather was a major disappointment, but the record shopping in the Peak District was a success - UK second pressing, with the wild and wonderful original 1969 mix.

Glorious stuff.

You can't blame Ed Sheeran for caving in to American stadium owners I suppose. I mean, take these guys in the 60s, they refused to play to racially-segregated audiences in stadiums in the southern states of the USA and who remembers them now?

Didn't think it was achievable, but Ed Sheeran has finally managed to do something worse than writing Galway Girl.

This is an incredible snapshot of the malignancy of our economic system. The very people working in AI think AI needs to be slowed, that it's out of control, that it has a 10% chance of bringing about human extinction - but they can't stop it themselves bcos of the remorseless drives of capitalism.

I don't know if it's just that this UK government missed the context of growing up in Ireland in the 90s, but they should probably be aware that gangs of lads in balaclavas don't have the best intentions for the public.

When I lived in the UK none of my concerns e.g. affordable housing, climate action, increases in welfare spending, scrapping tuition fees, an ethical foreign policy, were ever framed as legitimate concerns. lnstead I was routinely told to fuck off by most political parties for having such concerns.

Meeting mates shortly, for a day of good beer and live music - should be great but, in this moment, the first pint on my own as I wait in the sunshine, is absolutely blissful.

- it’s a fabulous show and if you’ve not heard it, you bloody should
- it’s a great episode in its own right, with a really compelling backstory
- AH is a lovely guy and there aren’t enough of them in this world

I really am going to have to dig out my CD of it now…

Alright Apple - I know it's just a bunch of photos of Action Man outfits lately, but I'd really like to get them off my iPhone somehow, or even visible in File Explorer when I connect to my PC (computer can't see anything newer than Dec 2023, or reasons beyond my ken...)
