What blows my mind musically with their stuff is that Barry’s contribution all came through that weird open tuning that he’s used on the guitar all his life, minor chords and all.

The worst thing we ever did was “upgrade” our 20-year old LG for a Samsung which is impossible to operate, has no discernible improvement and has developed a picture fault after just 2 years.
And you can’t even get Freeview on it, so it’s useless during t’interweb outages.

The story I’ve seen is that Clapton was so pissed (this is his immediate post-heroin period) that he had a board in his cassock behind his head to help hold him up.

Tonearm weight isn't a fixed thing - some cartridges require a really light weight (1.5g or similar), whilst others like a few grams more.
Then when you get to things like 78 styli, the sweet spot can be 5-6g and I think mechanical gramophones with steel styli were heavier even than that...
