Love both extremes of this and I think both are powerful means of storytelling. And yet, oftentimes people who (correctly!) defend difficult games on the grounds of the brutality's narrative function, won't have that same energy for when the art is about what it's like being unstoppable/powerful.

i do think it's really interesting how often people talk about games being completely unfun if there's no chance for you to suffer in combat. that definitely applies with some games, and maybe i'm just too sore a loser or something, but i get a lot of fun out of being completely unstoppable actually

I like to think Seth brought a lil computer running Miku to sing the Flower Man lyrics. But when they looked for it it wasn't there (I wonder why) so they just did the fight without it.
