My rough thought here for the setup; Some entirely normal benign incident that Marisa resolves. It involves Patchouli. Marisa realizes after resolving it and doing a bit of reading she was able to figure out how to replicate Patchouli's own abilities. Which gives her a bit of a devious idea to further her skills as a magician. So she meets up with Alice and after some convincing, the two agree to try, basically manufacturing incidents in order to have "study time" with increasingly powerful denizens of gensokyo. Their intentions here are still very just, Silly Devious Core. like stealing a book from SDM but maybe a BIIIT more involved. But, quickly! It becomes clear this is making Marisa insane and very dangerous as she loses herself. Which hits a sort of critical mass eventually as she begins to spiral into becoming all there is to know.

I am generally of two minds when it comes to AI discourse: - A lot (not all) of the anti-AI bullet points you see parroted around are at best misleading and at worst nonsensical (and often more or less sound like "it's Demonic and of satan" more than anything else) - The push for AI from corpos and the abuser-core culture of violation it stokes is such an existential threat that I don't actually care to correct those people or to try and split hairs over whether or not they're hating on it Correctly. A nuanced wall of text will never get a tiktok teen to care about something. A canned phrase about "using infinity water to make those terrible fruit videos" will. so it's like. sure. we'll go with that. You will never win over public sentiment with a graph. It could be the most beautiful, most correct graph, but it's just not going to happen. u gotta get with the program a little bit.
