I dropped one of my earbuds like 5 hours ago and I watched it fall off the table. I saw it bounce off. I heard it hit the floor. And somehow?? I cannot FIND IT. It cannot have gone further than 3 feet in any direction and I have SCOURED THE AREA. It’s like it bounced into another dimension!

As a mom and as someone who has a middle grade graphic novel coming out soon, I can say my own kid suffered through a system that forced him to read books at a certain level, which completely destroyed any love of reading he might have had. But he still reads comics. I want kids to love reading!
Oh boy. Okay. I am going to respond earnestly and genuinely, because I totally understand why this would seem like a contrary concept! Many librarians, educators, and guardians want to encourage their kids to read more, but don't see how graphic novels might help.
