Did you know LA’s PARTCH Ensemble is a Grammy-winning group? Founded by John Schneider as Just Strings, they built full replica instruments to keep Harry Partch’s vision alive. They’re one of the only groups worldwide performing on these living sound sculptures! 🎶

Not all of Harry Partch's instruments are wood and string; some are built from laboratory glass and artillery shells! His Cloud-Chamber Bowls were made from Pyrex carboys, creating a crystalline soundscape you can't hear anywhere else. ✨

I saw the PARTCH Ensemble live twice and loved it! They play a custom 43-tone microtonal scale using hand-built instruments invented by Harry Partch. Experiencing these rare instruments in person is a mind-blowing acoustic and visual experience!
