scribble comic on being "born trans" cuz im always thinkin about it. #pepperbloomart
photo of a smeary ink comic in my sketchbook. panel 1: "as a kid in the 2000s, my impression of trans people was mostly this." on TV, a woman states, "my soul is trapped in the wrong body." panel 2: "in the mid 2010s it was more like this." a tumblr post reads, "my parents assigned me the wrong gender at birth." panel 3: "throughout the eras of discourse there was one throughline." a figure waves a big pride flag and states, "nobody made me trans - i was born this way." panel 4: "so if i definitely AM transgender, but if i definitely WASN'T at birth, where do i fit in?" panel 5: me prancing around in a tutu. "i was not a transgender child. i loved girly stuff. ballet, barbies, the whole 9 yards." panel 6: "actually i didn't even question my gender until all my friends were doing it." a friend asks, "we're all jumping off this bridge, you in?" i reply "oh hell yeah!" panel 7: "but i did start to actively ID as trans after a few decades of the crushing expectations of womanhood." the word "womanhood" is massive, crushing me. panel 8: "masculinity was my escape. maybe i didn't have a male 'soul,' but i WANTED one." i'm laying on my bed, gazing sadly at r/ftm. panel 9. "if we understand 'man' and 'woman' as social constructs, shifting among different places and time periods, then we must acknowledge transness is a construct as well." doodles of the same woman, dressed in clothes from around the world. panel 10: "which is kinda scary! cuz if transness isn't inherent, then--" a strawman transphobe bursts in shouting "TRANS IS FAKE" panel 11: transphobe grabs me by the shirt. "you admit it! gender is a social contagion! you're making the kids MORE TRANS!" panel 12: "to which i can only respond" -- i shrug and smile -- "yeah! pretty cool right?" panel 13: my fursona dressed as a girl and a boy, dancing with itself. "judith butlet famously described gender as performative. cis and trans alike, we act out gender to reinforce it." panel 14: boy fursona vanishes. girl furzona is handed a paper with the trans symbol on it. "but you don't need to be handed the 'trans script' to try a new role." panel 15: "after all--" my fursona wearing a beret in a folding chair. "you're in the director's chair!" panel 16: me chillin'. "maybe if womanhood was defined differently, i'd still be a woman. but i CHOSE to transition. and i'm damn glad i did."

Another OOH, CHIC! for the books guys ⭐️ oohchiczine.com #oohchiczine
An intricate illustrated piece featuring Khar'rel in different scenarios. In the left main panel, he is in a golden princess dress with a paned skirt and sleeves, with a conical golden henin. He is reaching out to a cluster of golden grapes. In the right main panel, he is draped against the window frame, unkempt but in a beautiful diamond pattern golden gown. Only his left eye is visible, and it stares intensely at the viewer. He is surrounded by piles of treasure.

Wacom recently asked me to talk about why I make queer comics, and given there are multiple bills right now floating around in congress that are effectively "we will kill your livelihood if we get a sniff of queer" I had some pretty strong, simply feelings to relay.

happy #makeaterriblecomicday2026. i've had night hallucinations for most of my life but this was the first and only time i ever had sleep paralysis.
7 panel comic labeled "A true story" where the cartoonist is in bed, realizing he has sleep paralysis and is seeing a shadow man. he whispers "penis penis penis" and the shadow man goes away, allowing the cartoonist to sleep soundly

Right now the world is full of people who want to code and write and paint and film stuff and people who want to play and read and look at and watch stuff and nobody is allowed to do any of that because some unrelated third guy isn't making enough money off the deal

Our games industry is people. Our studios are people. Our teams people, our games by people for people. Our games are made by people, in groups of people, in teams of people, making people things for people.

The magic is people, and the people deserve so much better than all this. I am so sorry.
