They do it because they want it. The Dems wanted the war on trans people to continue unabated since 2020 when they took "trans healthcare is healthcare" back behind the woodshed. They know the GOP will look like freaks while they smugly go "well it's already illegal for anyone under 26."
Stop adopting Republican framing on this, I beg of dems.

Whelp, this is a pretty gross ad from Brown. It would have been completely fine without the "transgender surgeries for kids are already illegal in Ohio" part.

Notably, that law also bans all gender affirming care for youth, and top surgery for older teens, which sometimes is necessary.

well the good thing is it's not like we live in the most car-brained society in the world and all our infrastructure wasn't built around driving and parking and everything is walkable and we have lots of efficient and dependable public transportation. at least there's that

Agreed, and that factoid is also a myth. Earlier this year a friend of the family lost his father. His father's dog was locked inside with the body for days before he was found.

The dog survived the only way he could.

It's what his person would have wanted. He remains a good dog.
When people point out that my dogs won't eat my corpse but my cats will, I feel compelled to reply that this is A) resourceful and intelligent B) an ecological favor that teeters on upcycling, truly, and C) I'm dead I didn't need those eyes anyway.

"Libidinal epistemicide" comes to mind, as the same obsession that drives many academics to desire the transfeminine subject are the same ones who overwrite her agency and right to participate in the project of knowledge-building. Disgust/desire are two sides of same desubjectification.

I'm going to be real with you chat, I don't think the liberals want us to enjoy the camps at all. I think they want us to have a bad time. I don't think the camps are intended to be very fun at all.
"Enjoy the camps" is a succinct summation of the current moment trans people find ourselves in. People who insist they're allies also loudly proclaim they won't lift a finger to help us, will say nothing when we're attacked and even tacitly agree with the attacks, and still claim moral superiority.

It doesn't fool the victims, it doesn't fool the Nazis, the only people it could possibly fool is centrists.
