children's bodies are the archetypal sites of socially accepted/legitimate disciplinary violence, viewed as sexual property, etc etc you know the drill. this is also an extension of the logic of genital inspections to stop trans girls competing in sports and of reproductive surveillance
This is straight out of Handmaids Tale.

A high school trying to force girls to disclose the dates and lengths of their menstrual cycle.

Don’t comply? You lose a grade.

There’s absolutely no reason a school needs this information other than to exert control over our bodies.

'Purge Palantir!': Union nurses warn Big Tech and Big Brother are invading our healthcare system
“Palantir has no place in our hospitals, no place in our community... Nurses are advocates first. We're trained to advocate and to speak up when something is wrong, and that's what we're doing.”

Really hard to overstate just how central AI video slop is to the broader authoritarian project. It allows people to visualize fantasies without having to pay the social costs of such actions, while desensitizing people about the act itself. It's 4chan on steroids w a veneer of respectability.

There is a corner of the internet I had never heard of before I started reporting this story.

It’s called the “burnerverse”: a network of anon burner accounts ostensibly discussing college sports. But they have another goal: destroying young girls’ lives.🧵:

A College Girl Was Exploited on Camera. A Network of Anonymous Men Got to Work
Maddie Kowalski is one of countless young women who’ve had their lives destroyed by the burnerverse, a loosely connected online community of sports fans. Now she’s fighting back.

The details make it clear that the University of Michigan is fully collaborating with fascists because it sees a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to destroy a labor movement.

Lots of universities would be willing to do this given the invitation. I expect they will.

9/11/2001 I was a freshman in high school in Alabama, I wore a hijab. In gym class my teacher wheeled in a screen. Something horrible was happening. I watched, mouth agape as the second tower hit.

We were silent.

As that period reached an end, my name was announced on the loud speaker. 1/

25 years after 9/11, New York is opening 170,000 pages of records on what officials knew about the toxic air at Ground Zero.

Now the federal government should open the remaining 9/11 records still hidden from the public.

This is something I’ve learned more and more about in the last several years. The number of killings and attacks committed by racists and such in “retaliation” for 9/11. Some of those cases were undocumented or never heard about.
As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I want to highlight a memorial not far from my home. 4 days after 9/11, a racist shot and killed Balbir Singh Sodhi, a husband, father of five, and beloved member of his local Sikh community. His murder was the first hate crime in response to the attacks.

It's not welfare. It's not when the government does stuff. It's not good kings.

Some kings may be better than others, but there can never be a good king.

Abdicate or else.
