Also you missed the fact that it would be more beneficial to the town to have a better connection to New York City through Staten Island via the railway and a ferry system

You mean metropark isn’t losing money and tenants? The only appeal of that station for years was regular Amtrak trains and that’s about it. They’re trying to redevelop it into a 5 over 1 town center like numerous other NJT stations.

And at this stage, you would have better pool of talent if you get the clockers back running between New York and Philly as there’s a major demand for more services between the 2 stopping in places in New Jersey.

And what happens when work from home isn’t an option? And we get more politicians with either 1960’s mentalities (or worse) or just give a blank check for 5 over 1’s with no infrastructure upgrades nearby? Like it or not we are stuck with driving as the alternate for a lot of people.

No one’s gonna want to deal with route 1 traffic or turnpike tolls as their alternate for when things go sideways on the corridor tbh. Plus, one could argue to make the commute in from the west more tolerable.

I would argue that the one proposed light rail system that was around 2004 or so would’ve been a massive benefit to the whole area. One can argue for it running between Bridgewater and South Amboy and bridging some major areas, including a ferry to Tottenville on Staten Island.

Can’t get into downtown without a car. There’s no working bus system for the city.

I definitely say no to banning this book because it is definitely a good one for covering high school kid issues and such. 8th grade is a bit young.

I should specify it was a guy friend dating a football player. Like it touches on a BUNCH of issues that are even still prevalent today.
