I’m proud to share this project was accepted into the Smithsonian NMAAHC’s CSAARL Next Tech Lab at the Forward conference this November in DC. The theme is “Welcome Home.” That’s the heartbeat of this work.

The building is gone, but my team and I spent months bringing it back. We built an augmented reality experience called Little Harlem: Remembering Home. Point your phone at the lot, and the hotel returns—architecture, music, people.

There’s a random empty lot on Michigan Avenue in Buffalo. But for decades, it was the Little Harlem Hotel—a legendary Black-owned hotel and club during segregation. Icons played there. Travelers planned trips around it.
