As a footnote, if a mechanism exists to deprive ANY group of civil rights—no matter how reviled they are, and by however many—then that mechanism WILL eventually be weaponized against YOU.

You do not have to be trans or pro-trans to be against deprivation of anyone's rights.

(PS: I am pro-trans.)
Trans rights is inherently a bodily autonomy issue. Just like abortion rights is. We can't have gender equity or reproductive freedom without trans rights. Full stop.

You can yell at me and make up shit that you claim I've said if it makes you feel better. I don't care. I'm right. And you know it.

If you want money in silicon valley you need to be a Weird Little Guy of the first order. Having a normal and sane view of tech or approach to business is how you lose every elevator pitch. You need to stop shaving and flail your arms wildly while you talk about literally infinite growth.

A long time ago when beards came back into fashion I joked that we’re in the mirror universe now.

And god damn it all to heck.
We know quite a lot about support for wars, and yes, predictable this would go badly. You can imagine worse like invading Canada with human wave attacks of 13 year old draftees to secure the rights of francophones in alberta, but in the realm of plausible this one really stands out

The programme, which replaced one lesson a week with a Mathematical Reasoning session over 12 to 15 weeks, combines classroom teaching, small-group activities, and computer games designed to consolidate the concepts introduced during classroom teaching.

As katie0martin.ft.com says about bonds you cannot put the shit back in the donkey.

The US has refused to come to the aid of the Saudis. A totally faithful participant in the US order

Bet they wish they’d bought nukes not “allies”

But this will apply to everyone and lasts way past Trump. 💩🔂🫏
It's hilarious to watch people continue convincing themselves they can sway Trump into becoming a reliable ally

Looks like Reform are spending the new crypto-bro cash already...
New Reform ad campaign, calling on Labour to rule out tax rises at the Budget next month. Seems likely there will be lots of these to come, petition after petition, building an ever bigger email list of potential supporters.

several people retweeted this buried-in-replies comment so I'm thinking maybe the incentive-structure read on why nobody's suing frontier labs for hacking their shit might have some legs
I'm sure the predictable "do we risk our glasswing/etc access or do we reassure our LLM provider that we have no intention of seeking legal action over their eval-swarm APT hack of our infra" conversations have never happened, these last few months

Callie maybe an AI hater but yeah…

This doesn’t get better from here on I think…

Bluesky should have a feature you can turn on like the VOI scooter rentals “are you too tired / drunk to drive”

And then it won’t let you post and switched to an algorithm that shows you calming pictures of bunnies.

But definitely avoid p(don’t) stuff. p(utopia) only please

This is a real demonstration of what social media selects for. It satisfies a bunch of peoples priors, plus obvious call backs to Ben Shapiro previous prior satisfying content.

But then more info turns out to break those priors!

We just want information that hits these notes for our brains.
Incredible lore on this one

How much did it save them in tokens? Coulda just been good business sense.

Why Astra is new best friend and it is over between me and claud.
I felt I understood them if I asked for definitions.

The real problem I have is their instincts to warp every project to satisfy some internal needs / training rewards.

Every project must have some way to mark the operators decisions as “locked” and always output as much as it can.
