I just signed a contract with Routledge to publish my second book, titled, Authority and Disruption in Early Modern Maritime Theatre: Mock Kings at Sea. It will be the first comparative study on maritime theatre across multiple cultures and languages.

The Swedish ship Vasa.
She sank shortly after launch in 1628, but thanks to the conditions in the Baltic, which is tide free and has brackish water, her hull was almost perfectly preserved when raised in 1961.

There is a grave moral consequence to letting this go on. Shut down the government, have a general strike, grind the country to a halt, hit the streets. But not treating a demented administration lying about its thugs committing cold-blooded murder as an emergency? That is an emergency in itself.
