Early voting is already underway in some states. From now until Nov 3, I urge you all to...

1) Help get out the vote
2) Protect our electoral machinery from interference
3) Not succumb to complacency, defeatism, or cynicism

We are the only ones who can end this nightmare.

What happened after Donald Trump took a wrecking ball to federal child care programs?

400+ day cares shut down in Oklahoma.
300+ programs shut down in Indiana.
HUNDREDS more have closed nationwide.

Our families deserve better.

Exactly this. love Annie Dillard ♥️💔🐸🦋
Annie Dillard has not only informed my writing as one of the first and best (nature) writers I've encountered but also her arguments for attention inform how I view life and what it means to be human.

Talarico organized a grocery drive for Texans. What did Paxton do? He was busy schmoozing with GOP big-wigs. Talarico understands the needs of Americans. He is the clear choice for Texas. This November, tell Paxton to go home, permanently.

Gloria Steinem was an icon and a trailblazer. Her advocacy - from championing reproductive freedom, to fighting for workplace fairness - moved our country forward. All of us can and should draw on her legacy of leadership and advocacy to strive towards making America a better place.

Five years ago, House Democrats passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

But Senate Republicans obstructed our progress.

That paved the way for Trump and the Supreme Court to continue gutting the right to vote.

Congress must pass this bill and save our democracy.

Before last year, there were no US measles deaths in a decade, and now we have had 5 deaths in two years.

Measles was declared eliminated in the US in 2000, but will lose that status this year.

This is an abject failure of public health leadership.

WELKER: Do you think democratic socialists have a place in the Democratic Party?

VAN HOLLEN: Yes they do as part of the debate. I think that those in the Dem Party who are afraid of a healthy debate are missing the point, because Democratic voters do not want a return to the pre-Trump status quo

Curious if we're going to see any significant blowback in congressional districts with large military bases. The stories their families have been getting about the Hegseth Era can't be good.
🚨EXCLUSIVE: Military families and service members are now describing horrific conditions across MULTIPLE ships: human waste flooding bathrooms, virtually no food, water or soap, months without port calls, exhausted crews, and no end in sight.

This crisis is far bigger than just the Lincoln.
