We need a federal law banning AI-driven personal pricing among the MANY other consumer-protection laws we need ASAP.
Starbucks CEO says the company is planning to focus more on AI and tech, including a adding system that would recognize customers as they arrive in stores to "present personalized digital menus."

Everywhere you look in America today, you see industries and entire sectors of the economy in decline or near-collapse, along with a hell of a lot of people in those industries who have their heads in the sand about it.

I honestly cannot remember what my first 5 RPGS were in order. Basic D&D, AD&D, TMNT and Other Strangeness, Call of Cthulhu, and I recall some Vietnam War game briefly. Maybe also a Palladium game.
I started playing basic D&D before I could even fully read. My DM kept my character sheet for me!

It's been a fun 24 hours, but everything should be okay until AI finds the next security vulnerability.
All our clients should be mitigated against the PHP vulnerability now on dedicated servers we control and all hosts we work with are reporting updated. We're monitoring the situation still and will work directly to resolve any issues that arise.

The new total for a family of three to receive health insurance through the ACA marketplace for us is $3157.00 per month. $37,884 per year so that we don't go bankrupt if we experience a medical emergency. This is double our mortgage. I cannot do this. I don't know who can do this.

I've grown up and lived around these people my entire life. When faced with the apparent contradiction between their lack of empathy and their supposed Christian values, they will choose lack of empathy over actual Christian values every time. To them, Christianity is mostly a sports team or tribe.

I've grown up and lived around these people my entire life. When faced with the apparent contradiction between their lack of empathy and their supposed Christian values, they will choose lack of empathy over actual Christian values every time. To them, Christianity is mostly a sports team or tribe.
I am a huge fan of all things conspiracy-related, and grew up playing the Illuminati card game, the Illuminatus! trilogy, and Principia Discordia. I've spent 30 years obsessed with the idea of making a multiplayer online game where you play as a secret society leader trying to take over the world.
