Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

In Kenya, Indigenous women from Maasai & Ogiek communities are restoring the Mau Forest through sustainable enterprises.

Beyond gaining independent income & family decision-making power, research shows their efforts are leading to better overall conservation outcomes.

We are given only a limited number of truly perfect summer days in our time on Earth. One of the more insidious cruelties of fossil fuel greed is how it slowly strips those days from us, more and more throughout our lifetimes, perhaps without us even realizing what we have lost.

The NPS will launch 850,000 fireworks in the middle of the night. (Last year, they launched 7,000) That will dump perchlorates and heavy metals into the Potomac River and cause the amount of soot and smoke particles to skyrocket (pardon), at great danger to any creature that breathes.
"The Park Service, in a separate document, similarly said that people should ‘wear an n95 mask when outdoors’ and ‘remain indoors as much as possible during and after the show.’”

The guidance is to remain indoors ... during the fireworks. www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...

Folk, the a/c discourse is a trap.

While we’re all arguing about whether Luddite-left Europeans deserve to suffer, no-one is talking about the elite fossil-fuel interests who have knowingly caused #ClimateChange and are still blocking us from halting global heating with their corruption and lies.

Roughly half of defense spending goes to private contractors that routinely price-gouge the government.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has failed EIGHT straight audits.

On the 10th Anniversary of the Paris Agreement, you’re going to hear a lot about the progress we’ve made — people saying we “are” heading to 2.5 degrees heating instead of four.

I deeply regret to tell you that this is complacent misinformation.
