This is correct, but also another reason why Democrats have to lean into accountability and oversight as hard as possible when they retake Congress.
It's not just about punishing criminals. It's about making it clear to the country the depth of the damage done to ready them for the repairs.

Precisely. Running for office is not (or shouldn’t be) just getting elected for its own sake. It’s to advance an agenda, to accomplish something once in power.

I’m on a small-ship Alaska cruise with my son; our boat rescued a stranded vessel last night and apparently we did that after the Coast Guard radioed Mark Zuckerberg’s yacht - which was closer - and they repeatedly refused to respond. (There was near unanimous booing when the captain announced this)
