DHS agents are still here in our community in plain clothes scouting out immigrant owned businesses on Central, knocking on neighbors doors, swapping out licenses plates in cars without registration, and driving dangerously in our community.

This is a powerful letter from Minneapolis Legislative Delegation asking Mayor Frey to sign Pause Evictions, Save Lives.

16/17 state legislators who represent Minneapolis signed onto this letter. It’s time for Mayor Frey to sign this ordinance and support our immigrant neighbors.
elected officials in the minnesota state senate and house representing minneapolis have sent a letter to mayor jacob frey urging him not to veto the pause evictions, save lives bill which would extend the notice period from 30 days to 60 to address the financial impact of the ICE occupation

We don’t have money to house people, or pay people’s rents or keep schools open and safe from masked goons but we have money for a cop training facility? For what? MPD failed to keep Minneapolis safe and two people died for their failure and our schools were raided.

The hood loves @jchavezmpls.bsky.social. He might go down as the greatest ward 9 city council member ever. He shows up for the good and the bad, defends the most sacred and does the work with his people. We couldn’t have asked for a better leader during this time.
I profiled Jason Chavez, the Minneapolis city council member who has been embedded in community efforts to combat ICE.

Hear directly from Aliya Rahman, who was brutally pulled from her car and assaulted by ICE on her way to a doctor’s appointment, on the importance of extending the pre-eviction notice to 60 days. We are proud to have passed this policy today and are calling on Mayor Frey to sign it immediately.

I need to address this immediately, because I am WAY too Minnesotan to ever claim credit for this.

I built a thing to point the fire hose of people's generosity in the right direction. That's it.

I am thankful for the piece, because hopefully it means people will donate more money.

Whatever happens with Operation Metro surge there needs to be accountability of our law enforcement. Let’s remember this all started when right-wing influencers came to our state (with assistance from the MN GOP) to target Somali daycares and film children. Our cops didn’t protect kids and look.

March rent is still due for our neighbors sheltering in place. While our mayor is on a faux victory press tour, and our governor is discussing “rebuilding”, ICE is still in our streets kidnapping folks. Help keep them safe by donating to the Phillips Fund. www.gofundme.com/f/support-ph...

We don’t need a celebration we need to abolish ICE and get justice for those murdered and for those whose rights have been violated and return our neighbors. Reminder the Roman Colosseum was a propaganda machine that enforced hierarchy and was a distraction from living standards. Stay focused MPLS.

At the end of the day no amount of theory or posturing changes the reality that our economy is on the brink. Tough decisions will be made at the capital this year. I’m praying we do enough and get enough passed even with the slim majority.

Aftermath? Patience is right, this has nothing to do with immigration and everything to do with elections and the GOP trying to secure total control of our government. ICE is the enforcement arm that is being trained to suppress votes and ultimately the American people. So far from over.
