Mainly here for the dogs and cats.
Scottish, Yorkshireish, Lancashireish.
It costs nowt to be kind.
Seen on a pavement this morning:
Slim leggy person with long hair, black t-shirt, long black floaty skirts.
Next to a tall, leggy, elegant saluki with swishy floaty long white hair.
Doggy is prancing: human is pirouetting to untangle the dog’s lead.
A perfectly elegant ballet.

My colleague volunteers at a cattery, and has just sent me this picture of Threeyonce, a stray, who earlier in the week had to have a leg amputated.

She is doing really well, but if you have a couple of quid to donate, it would be appreciated 😊

Couple of buzzards hanging over the estate yesterday, playing & enjoying the thermals. Joined by another, then another two.
The five-formation was too far high up to get a pic but lovely to see 🥰.

Very pretty brown springer spaniel out for walkies with its Dad. Stretching its lead as faaaaar as possible to get at a big juicy pile of fresh horse nuggets on the path. Dad laughing so much he nearly lost control of the lead.

Our planet is very old.

We, on the other hand, are not.

And when I say "not", I probably cannot convey to you how astonishingly, eye-swivellingly, knee-tremblingly non-old we are compared to the Earth under our feet.

But I'm going to try. Please wish me luck.

Distant neighbour where we live was giving away hydrangea flowers she’d pruned yesterday - she didn’t want them just to go into the bin.
Aren’t they a lovely colour?

Said hello to a Very Good Boy (‘Bruce’) in a shop today, he was learning how to meet and greet customers.
Bruce had the cuddliest coat, like a mixed black/grey/white chenille super snuggly blanket. 10/10 would handle the goods in that shop again.

Yes yes the advancement of modern technology is great but I’m more in awe of the first person who decided to rub together bits of sheep wool into strands, then use two sticks to turn it into connected loops & create the first ever “knitting”.

(I know it probably didn’t happen like this, but still).

Heading into town, nearly stepped on a young rat scuffling around in a leafy gutter on a back street. On our way back, same rat, same place, same scuffling 😬

🐀 💭 nuffin to see here

#SundayPixToday.
I reckon every English seaside town has some of these. Iron; probably Victorian in origin; recently repainted (without much care) over a gazillion previous coats and yet still rusty.
Meanwhile the sea and the weather carry on regardless.

Blue things today: sky, a damselfly, a pretty wild flower (chicory, I believe).

Why do we love wrens so much? Could it be because they are so like us? Busy little people rushing around all the time going about their wren business? This box is available now should you wish to buy it. Inside there is an original paint finish. Dm for details

Long story short but the boiler has broken in our holiday place, so no hot water. No suitable alternative accomm available but the golf club next to where we’re staying are letting us use their gym’s shower facilities. For free. No quibble.
That’s what I call service 👌

Today was mostly about the skies.
But we didn’t get wet. Which was nice.

Hive mind! I’m on the lookout for people who have moved to Manchester from London and bought a house, for a piece on the market here. If you’ve done that and fancy a chat about your experience (where you bought, why, how it compares to London etc) please do shout me
