Top level american motorsports truly have a knack for adding meaningless nonsense that affects race results, whether it be nascar's green white checker, indycar's hybrid, or imsa's LMP2 class

SRC changed their terms of use yesterday, and released a news post with an FAQ.
They make it sound like not a big deal. It's a big deal. The Creative Commons licence is gone. They claim ownership over the data now.

Today is World Wasp Day, so here’s the newest species from our yard in Leavenworth, Kansas, USA. This is an ichneumon wasp, Charops annulipes. You might recognize the banded cocoon it emerged from, more than the wasp itself. #bugsky #WorldWaspDay #bugwatching #insects #wasps

Absolutely bonkers that the biggest time saving glitch in half life speedrunning has just been discovered, almost 28 years after its initial release

@miiko22.bsky.social sets a WR time in Aero Dive by about a half second! It seems using the V2 booster is faster here due to its weight supreme speed retention and stronger booster, making it go much faster than G4 in boost laps.

IMSA at Indy was a banger this year despite no rain. I think the frequent traffic makes it much more suited for 3 hours than the previous 6. Multiple cars still in the fight in every class by the end

Noticed a dead Eleodes sp. darkling beetle (sometimes called stink bugs/beetles) in the Mojave Desert a month ago, saw another one was walking toward it and decided to record the encounter: "Larry? You okay? You sleeping? Yeah, probably asleep. Sorry. I'll see you later. Maybe. Okay bye." #BugSky 🐙🌿
