Where’s that venn diagram? I hope the residents of #ldnont realize that voting for tax freezes also means voting for services freezes. We won’t get any resolution to homelessness, addiction, or even the additional police you think you need (you don’t) without additional funding.

Even locally during this municipal election campaign . There are openly active transphobic candidates running for #ldnont city council but no one is talking about it.
As we sit on the precipice of another election in BC—particularly considering the climate with the Democrats in the U.S. right now—it's worth pushing progressive politicians to vocally affirm their support of LGBTQ2S+ folks (and particularly trans people), rather than accepting silence as support.

I think it's ill-advised and anti-democratic to introduce an omnibus bill, cite a crisis, and rush major changes to labour and environmental law.

Multiple industry and labour sources tell CTV News they have been told to get ready for the introduction of significant labour legislation as soon as next week. A senior government source says plans are underway to introduce such legislation following a review of the Canadian Labour Code.

Can anyone smarter than me explain how the government aims to create new pre-strike binding mediation legislation (which essentially removes striking as an active tool), yet claims that it will "never interfere with a worker’s right to bargain or to strike?" Because this seems, uh, bad!
