Used to sell yarn. Then I sold bikes. Now I just sling coffee, knit, and try to stay sane.

*internal screaming*
The government has declared datacentres “nationally significant infrastructure projects” that can be forced through the planning system. This means getting preferential access to water. Yet it has no idea what they're used for. Our dwindling supplies might be prioritised for nudifying celebrities.

We can’t say that the US is engaged in misinformation now? Seems pretty obvious to me.

It’s true for Trump specifically; the crypto-grift brought in billions, as did the Pentagon contracts directed to the elder failsons. Even his unemployed youngest raked in more that $150M. It really is a Golden Age for that shitty, corrupt family.

somebody decide for me if I should go for a long bike ride or take a rest day. One of those “I’m sore but maybe exercise will help? Or hurt.” Moments. Bleeeeeh.

Searching for: kids dental office that doesn’t “find” a new cavity every visit that requires x-rays every 6 months and charges 20% more than the recommended fees that insurance will cover. 😭 I hate virtually everything about the systems I exist in right now…

Fun fact: Tesla went with a giant touchscreen instead of knobs for the Model 3 purely to save time and money. Knobs would have required spinning up a whole supply chain. The company spun it as a luxury feature and much of the industry followed suit. But it was always an inferior substitute.

If we had a federal government that wasn't firmly up the ass of Big AI, they'd make it a crime for an AI to put people in mortal danger by sending them into wilderness areas with fictional instructions.

If a human kept doing this, they'd probably go to jail, even under existing laws.

Can that change? Sure. But it's not gonna be me personally indulging their bullshit over din-din that's gonna do it.
