When people say stuff like this, do they understand that they're arguing for getting rid of freedom of speech?

Oh, wow. Samara Weaving as Emma Frost and Inde Navarrette as Rogue? Oh, fuck yeah

This is Inde getting her roses for Obsession; love to see it

Man, can you imagine how surreal life must be for Inde Navarrette right now? She's suddenly the hottest thing in Hollywood, her phone is ringing off the hook, but the money isn't coming yet. She doesn't get a cut of Obsession's income. She's in this weird liminal space right now

From the Hugging Face writeup of what it's like to have a rogue AI have its way with your network, we get this snippet, and, man, reality ain't beating the hack writer allegations like this

I usually phrase this as "PoI is the greatest science fiction show ever made, but it cosplays as one of the greatest police procedurals ever made"

Root is the difference. She's one of my favorite characters across all stories in all media ever
7. Person of Interest is the all-time best police producedural. Little slow in the first season (though some bangers in there) but once root shows up it goes insane.

Obsession is a brilliant fucking movie. Inde Navarrette better get an Oscar nom for this. I'm gonna be thinking about her performance for a long, long time

Ok, this is kinda hilarious to me. I noticed today that last week I was added to the following blocklist, by notable bluesky personality Cait, most known for unleashing hate mobs on Will Stancil. She characterizes the people she blocked as "weird little freaks in my mentions"

I don't understand why anybody thinks Iran is going to give up on tolling Hormuz. It's clear that nobody can military force them to open it, and even at $2M/ship the global economy can absorb the additional tax.

100 ships/day at $2M per, which means only tolling one direction, is a $73B GDP boost
Not taking their winnings while they still can is going to blow up in their face, in all likelihood.

Conservative men are SUCH fucking pussies. It's honestly hilarious
This has to be the funniest question AND response I've ever seen in a poll. Less than half of Republican men think they could beat Trump in a fight. What a bunch of pathetic losers.

I added it up once and I think I've spent a total of 27 months of my life in a hospital. At 52 years old, that means I've been in the hospital for 4% of my life.

Also, I'm currently hospitalized

In 1991, conservatives were 100% certain that teen mothers were degenerate sluts who deserved to starve. There were at least 2 pregnant 8th graders each of the 3 years I was in middle school, and a couple dozen pregnancies per year when I was in high school. It was called a national crisis

I see all these people like "it really disturbs me that I understand this" and, like, that's not how I think about it. I freakin' love that I've gotten to watch language evolve so much over my lifetime. I don't know if language is evolving faster now than it used to, but I think it's great
