A tragic awful story.
However, the Royal family have a pool of NHS doctors (who/what else?) on call!

"She also served in a pool of doctors who were regularly on call for members of the Royal Family, The Sun newspaper reported."

Barrot: “Artificial intelligence tools multiply the possibilities for spreading, amplifying and even manufacturing information and narratives.

“The question is no longer whether information is true or false, but what narrative other states want to forge about us. And this can happen very quickly.

In France students are rioting because of the state of their schools. In the US Trump is making jokes about Iran bombing cities in California, and people are calling on everyone to vote in the midterms...

What will happen if the midterms are disrupted?

A quite extraordinary day in the Netherlands: King Willem-Alexander commissioned 60 historians to investigate the royal family’s historic involvement in slavery. This resulted in five books that were published today. First European monarchy to seek transparency.

My MiL had fully funded (medical reasons) nursing home care. Consequently her state pension/ private pension accumulated in her bank account. Although we benefited from this after her death we felt it was wrong. Some contribution from this excess cash should imo have been paid towards her care.
Every wednesday my husband cooks dinner for a group of pensioners, his dad and some of his parents pals. They are politically and financially mixed. All said they dont care about the triple lock but all want social care sorting.

Burnham could change tax relief on pension contributions for his projects.

Gross tax relief in 2024-2025 was £83.9bn.

71% went to 7.7m additional & higher rate taxpayers.

29% to 30.4m basic rate taxpayers.

Giving relief to all at 20% leaves £14.5bn spare for social care.

But equality/equity?
