Correction: the City Council moved toward approving a term sheet that commits nearly $400M in city funds, $120M of which is unfunded and $275M has no apparent justification. Had my amendment passed we could have at least found the $120M. Ah well, nevertheless.
The Portland City Council on Thursday evening moved toward approving a non-binding term sheet for the Moda Center renovation that would propose the city contribute $120 million for renovation costs in exchange for a lease keeping the Trail Blazers in town for at least 20 years.
