I totally agree. Just been reviewing the positconf sessions listed. You expect a bit of AI of course as it's an important topic. But sheeeeshhh it's too much AI. Will watch the Quarto and tidymodels bits when I have time.

As a note, I was in the "Coding with LLMs" workshop at #positconf and I was very impressed with the output of Posit assistant with GLM 5.3 / Kimi (whatever it was). Knowing the statistics already and requesting specific analyses, it implemented exactly what I wanted at the cost of a few pennies

This is going to sound overly sentimental but I sometimes really underestimated the role community can play in motivation. I am social exhausted (whooo introvert life) from posit::conf but mentally inspired and motivation battery is replenished #positconf #positconf26

Putting on my sociology hat to build on what Tanya says: it’s important to “see” ourselves as a community, and having lost an online space where most gathered, conf is now the place where we are reflected back at ourselves and recognize ourselves as a community. Long live #positconf

Putting on my sociology hat to build on what Tanya says: it’s important to “see” ourselves as a community, and having lost an online space where most gathered, conf is now the place where we are reflected back at ourselves and recognize ourselves as a community. Long live #positconf

Good point by @wesmckinney.com during the @posit.co #positconf keynote that calling AI agents “agents” give them … agency. But *we* should be the agents.
