I had an idea years back that has been sitting with the other 80+ untapped stories in my to-do list that over the years developed in its complexity to the point I knew it wasn’t a short anymore. Around Thanksgiving, something clicked and I’ve been working on development since.

Sir Percival Von Snufflepup resting after grooming alongside the pomeranian birthed from the brush.

Sir Percival Von Snufflepup, aka Cobalt, found himself something to chase on our stroll. This is inches deep woodchips and something lives beneath. Had to walk him in the creek to clear his paws. On the whole, I think he likes his new home. I know I needed him now.

Learning how to live with a Siberian Husky puppy (only 76 lbs). That was a heating pad.

O e month ago I got a new rescue puppy and in that time he's gained 5 whole pou ds. Now he's only 76 pounds at 9 months. Big change for me because my last dog died 40 years ago and he was a toy poodle. Cobalt here? Well, he's adjusted perfectly and loves having a whole forest to play in
I'm so in ❤️

My father at his desk where he would always lean back and nap. On January 21st, we came home to find him here enjoying his last nap. I miss him so. Best father ever.

A couple days ago, after 11 years on the job with zero write-ups, the up-tight GM fired me for saying "What the fuck?" when I was being accused of nonsense.

Yes, the only thing I was fired for was saying a naught word per the paperwork?

So much for Union protection. Oh, Shop Steward set me up.

Today was a beautiful day!

Went to the Phoenix Zoo with both my daughters.

These days I hold dear, those rare ones when I'm able to do something not only with my little one, but with my eldest as well (she's 35 with a life so these hookups are rare).

Just a beautiful day!

My 21yo profoundly autistic daughter, who likes to look at what movies playing, chose "Dracula". She was insistent saying "Pictureshow Movies vampire" She's only seen a few live action films in the theater. She's never seen a horror film.
She watched intently and laughed at the gargoyles.
Good film!

1st 2000 word chapter complete pretty much exactly according to plan. This took longer than I expected, but then I expected it to take longer than I expected. The first chapter defines my "hero words" and I needed to find out what would and would not work.
Hurray for detailed outlines!

For 11 1/2 delightful years, some times difficult, all times amazing, there has been one constant through all of my daughter's growth. She could barely speak, had a special diet, wore diapers... Oh, she's changed so much.

Still, "Wheels on the Bus go round and round..." is the eternal refrain.

Just purchased and now waiting on delivery, two selections to take me from my usual haunts... music just discovered (Nina Simone... oh my god!) and an author I have yet to read, @gabino.bsky.social but who I've been anxious to try. Barrio pulp sounds delicious

I have just barely finished (as in I almost poured the last out) my 12th alcoholic beverage of 2025. I rarely touch the stuff. Just don't care for it and the way it makes me feel. There are entire regions of deforestation that are associated with my toking though...

This year I lost my best friend since 1980, the man who I gave a kidney to in 2004. I miss him so much!

This year I also have spent, for 11 of those months, in the company of one of the most beautiful souls I've ever met and I love her more each and every day.

My tears stem from two fonts...

For some reason, there seems to be a lot of grown ass adults pretending to be puppies and kittens wanting sex in my feed.

Why?

I have no desire to see grown ass adults acting this fucking stupid.

Doing all blocks today.

My sister just stopped by with a gift for me, one she felt obligated to get me after she saw the fragmented horror of what I had been using.

I've got the best mousepad ever!
