Trump announces "fraud whistleblower incentive program" -- "Americans will now be able to go to fraud dot gov and report cases of corruption and theft of taxpayer dollars in their communities ... if you turn somebody in and you find $1 billion, we're giving a commission of 1%. Yes. The Trump-MAGA attack on Elissa Slotkin is getting amplified wall-to-wall by the social media feeds of just about every significant MAGA personality, elected Republican, and party committee in Washington. Why doesn't this happen on the Dem side? Dems should defend her *and* amplify her point.

This has been the fundamental mechanism through which political media operates my entire life. The right makes a bunch of noise about a fake scandal, the mainstream media "covers the controversy," & normie voters get the vague impression that Dems are constantly involved in scandal.
This awful saga is a good glimpse into how MAGA gets propaganda laundered into mainstream discourse by making just enough noise to get news outlets to treat their outrage as a "controversy," which then requires even-handed treatement of both sides' stances:

They're weirdly pressing two kinds of white supremacist lies at once -- some non-white immigrants are poverty-wracked criminals who are eating our dogs and cats, but other non-white immigrants are rich elites who are buying up mansions and flying first class.

Pick a fucking lane, you clowns.
Stephen Miller claims Somali-Americans in Minnesota are "buying Mercedes, buying BMWs, they buy a nice house, all their kids fly first class all over the world"

If Zohran Mamdani or Abdul El-Sayed had used the word “Shylock” as an insult, the ADL would be attacking them by name relentlessly. But Donald Trump used it, so we get a generic condemnation of the word without any specific reference to who actually used it, and with no assumption of intent.

The golf course fight is just the latest example of Trump acting like the law doesn't apply to him, and DoJ lawyers just lying to judges.

When Dems have power, everyone involved has to be investigated, sanctioned, and potentially disbarred.

If and when the Roberts Court declares race-neutral admissions policies unconstitutional, expect the majority decision to cite...RBG's solo dissent from Fisher I saying race-neutral policies were really race-conscious ones. She meant that approvingly. The Roberts supermajority...won't.
