As someone who is almost finished making a granny square cardigan I need you to know that just weaving in ends can take one or two hours alone.

My theory about "raising awareness" is that it makes people feel like they are doing something without needing to attend to whether what they are doing works. Which, since I'm still thinking about Spinoza at one remove, is exactly what often makes people nervous about systems thinkers.
