Flying to 🇬🇧 and got through security on the way to the gate and realised I’ve completely forgotten to put my Ausweis in my 🇬🇧 wallet 🤦♀️. Fuck! Obviously got Brit 🪪 with me though.

Still trying to get the laptop to do the Win11 update. I’ve got pretty fast Glasfaser, but it’s still taking an age. What’s the point in super fast broadband when the download is slow because of the MS server?!?? 🤦♀️

I’m having my late BiL’s old Lenovo laptop. It’s taken 24 hours just to reset it and start to download the updates. ALL day, abs the last update has been sitting at 25% for an hour 😑 ! Will it ever finish?

Journey from hell. Left home at 16:30 and arrived at LGW 00:30 BST. 2 ¾ hours late. just missed the train which only runs hourly (24 hour city London? Really?!). If I miss the bus at the next station I’ll have to take a cab. Been awake since 06:15, so running on empty now 😣

I can’t stress how important it is that people (especially men!!) get checked out for the slightest thing. My BiL has ignored signs and it’s going to cost him his life. Him and my sis have been together 26 years. She’s understandably in bits and can’t imagine her life without him 😢

Last night I finally got to see Threads (thanks @jewelthin.bsky.social !)… my god that is bleak and brutal AF! We studied Z for Zachariah in school EngLit (2nd year High?) but don’t remember being shown any similarly-themed films like Threads. Probably just as well since it’s traumatising !

I’ve had this pod for years (more than 4 as the husband was alive when I got it), it’s taken until the last few weeks until one of the cats have decided they do actually like to hide away in it 😅… see, patience is a virtue 😂😂

How can the 🇩🇪 govt say “man braucht x € womit zu leben” w/ Burgergeld, but then refuse to pay ALL the rent for recipients in expensive areas? My friend loses 225€/month! That’s almost HALF her Burgergeld gone! It’s pushing ppl into poverty w/ no options to find cheaper accommodation 😡🤬 #FuckCDU /1

Feeling irritated I had to defend hospitals clarifying what a persons birth sex was and if a male patient could possibly be pregnant. It’s only “f’in weird” (their words) if you are anti-trans or unaccepting of at what stage of life someone chooses to transition 😡

It’s fitting to wear my Pulp T-shirt to see OMD bc the friend who properly got me into OMD I knew through the Pulp Fanclub. He’d also chosen OMD over Pulp in 1981 as the band to love/follow. I found out he died 20 years ago, v sad as we lost touch early 2000s. I wear the shirt in his memory today 💜

Why on earth did i think it was a good idea to cycle home today in 34c ? You can see from how I slowed down how exhausting it was! The route has barely any shade. I put suncream on before I left, but still feel like I’ve gotten burned 🥵 Lesson learned!

⬇️ Me 10 minutes ago. Went to go run an errand & couldn’t open the garage door. Assumed battery was dead so walked to the supermarket to get another. When that didn’t work, I then remembered “oh! I cut thru the extension lead earlier” … fuse had tripped & had forgot to check that first
