Used up my last credits and then cancelled Audible today. When asked for the reason I picked “other” and gave the explanation that as a Canadian I’m minimizing spending on US-based corporations, particularly Amazon. Going forward I’ll just borrow from the library. One more area of US spending down.

Things feel especially heavy today. I tried to be useful and emailed PP asking why he doesn't have his security clearance, encouraged friends to do the same, and joined another Canadians against PP group on FB. Now I think I'll get lost in making art. I see that happening a lot in the days to come.

I've now gone 10 days without placing an Amazon order. I had the urge multiple times, but managed to resist as I work towards cancelling Prime and shopping Canadian as much as possible. This is big for me. #ElbowsUp

I feel as though the PM referring familiarly to "Donald" in this morning's address was a bit of a shot in payback for the whole "Governor Trudeau" thing. I'm good with that. You have to earn respect. #ElbowsUp

Happy Tariff Day, fellow Canadians. I've already cancelled all my US travel, and in the days to come I'll be getting serious about cutting or eliminating my spending on US products and services. ELBOWS UP. #ElbowsUp

May that Oval Office fiasco on February 28th be the turning point that stops the current administration’s trajectory in its tracks, unites the country against what they’re doing, and opens the eyes of the world to what the US has become.

We’ve now cancelled two significant US trips plus tickets for three shows, and going forward plan to spend our travel $ anywhere BUT the US. It’s extra disappointing to do this when you live in a border city, but the trust is gone and I can’t in good conscience spend time and money there anymore.

Someone has been running some kind of droning machine in the yard of the house across the street constantly, for the whole afternoon, and it's given me a headache. Yesterday was so awesome in my corner of the world but today is definitely NOT following in its footsteps. Cranky 😭

Someone please tell me that an alternative to FB and/or Instagram is in the works? I can't leave either platform yet because it's the way I advertise my business, but I'm itching to dump all Meta products and will do so as soon as something actually viable comes along.

I listen to a couple of morning shows on @am800cklw.bsky.social and roll my eyes every time I hear that overplayed disingenuous pro-Pierre Poilievre axe the tax ad. It’s played a LOT and I so wish I had the technology to block it. PS, not voting for him no matter how many times you annoy me with it.

I’m committed to posting the occasional unattractive post-gym selfie because I’m proud that I keep showing up and it shouldn’t matter that I don’t look pretty when I do. I’m still not feeling totally well after my second cold of the season, but it was time. #StartWhereYouAre #KeepShowingUp

I’m starting to think these big accounts are out of touch with everyday people. They beg for followers but don’t follow back because they just want you to see what they say but don’t give a fuck about your input.
