I’m way behind but that Patricia with the shotgun gag in the Ep8 ‘Halloween’ Widow’s Bay episode is so good.

Constant battle of do I make a profit on prints but sell less, or make basically nothing but sell more.

Damned if I do etc.

Still hyped up from stellar Pulp, CMAT, and Angine de Poitrine gigs at the weekend.

Happy #StarTrekDay! I drew this as TNG hit me at the right age to dig it. Movies 2-4 are still an endlessly rewatchable trilogy too obviously.

I duck in and out of the universe occasionally but it seems so narratively fractured at a glance it lost me (and I know how ironic that sounds as a SW guy).

Deeply unpopular opinion apparently but I watched Geese on Thursday and they didn’t click with me at all. We were probably still bitter from the awful wrong directions/hold up getting in at @endoftheroadfestival.com though.

Pulp, CMAT, Angine.., Super Furries, all spectacular mind.

So nice of Richard Osman to bring his tiny son David Mitchell along to the chat show.

Just had to go downstairs and feed the cats and my wife asked me to bring TWO things back.

Not to be cliche but the ADHD stress of that nearly took me out.

Am non-stop work at the moment which I shouldn’t complain about because of the general market for such, but both jobs have creeped into bigger more complex things and I’m working weekends, holidays, quietly on my iPad when family and friends are here - I’m just out of juice.

Dolly Parton supported so many important causes, among them donating a million dollars to COVID vaccine research early in the pandemic, which saved millions of lives. She will always be remembered as a champion of the people.

This shit is why you can't separate continuing to financially support the Harry Potter IP (whether by buying the games, merch, watching the new TV show when its out) from the consequences of what JK Rowling does with that money

She's become so stiflingly powerful that even private docs arent safe
I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling.

They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

In a mistake I won't make again, I initially glanced over an image in Spider-Man: Brand New Day - The Art of the Movie, but after speaking with multiple artists, in my opinion it looks like it was made using AI.
I updated my review to reflect this and will be very cautious with future books! 1/2

How much do other illustrators sell an A2 print for? Or how much as a buyer do you expect to purchase one for?

Amazing film. Quite proud of this #TheFly tribute I drew a few years ago.

A certain AAA studio told employees that their internal gen AI was trained only on local data, but whenever said employees tried to generate an image of a woman holding a gun, it generated Lara Croft.
The studio was not Crystal Dynamics, and had never worked on the Tomb Raider IP in any capacity.
I just want to mention:

Even if your AI somehow runs locally and you think it's okay, it's still using trained data from a pre-existing dataset which is still full of stolen work.

The sheer amount of data gen AI needs is in the hundreds of thousands, you can only get that by scraping
The gen AIs that most are familiar with were built using stolen creative work, but there are plenty of more niche gen AIs that do not use stolen work.

Excited for Ahsoka season 2 - I was really onboard with the scope of that show. Literally an unknown galaxy, and the ambiguous Baylan and Shin were incredibly intriguing.

Ahsoka and Thrawn did great ‘I’ve been through some stuff but I’m not showing it’ bravado too.

Is this “casted” thing one of those ‘language evolves you ridiculous boomer’ things that’s going to make me wince for eternity now, or is it just incorrect?
