Hello, kind strangers 💙
This is a quiet record of #litter lifted, habits changed, and everyday #environmental effort 🌱
Pinned
I've started this account to mainly document my #litterpicking adventures and to help motivate myself in taking action over intentions.

Wish me luck :)

Data centres are springing up everywhere, using massive amounts of energy and water. I’ve signed @friends-earth.bsky.social’s petition calling for a pause on new data centres until the government gets a grip on the situation.

Stop data centres draining our precious resources
Add my name Data centres are springing up all over the UK – using massive amounts of electricity and, in many cases, huge amounts of water. The UK is already facing water shortages, high energy demand...

I finally did another litter pick, this time at a WWII Starfish decoy bunker.

Unfortunately, I couldn't safely remove the broken glass and didn't even start on the inside, which was honestly appalling.

Almost forgot to post my latest litter pick.

Living in the countryside, I never imagined littering to be a problem in my local area. I was wrong.

Happy summer solstice ☀️

It's officially the longest day of the year. With a whopping 16 hours of sunlight today there is so much time to get outdoors for #30DaysWild!

Let us know how you'll be celebrating 👇

Felt confident.

Was going to litterpick a road I've intended to clean for a while.

Got absolutely battered by the wind and made a hasty retreat.

Still managed to pick a small bag, though.

Well, slipped a bit with my regular litter picks.

Went for a walk today across a nature reserve and picked up what I found along the way.

Hoping to ease myself back into a routine.

Beetles like ladybirds pollinate crops, keep harmful insects like aphids under control, and improve the quality of the soil.
How to help them:
🐞 avoid pesticides
🐞 create a 'dead' hedge
🐞 don't be too tidy!
